“I’ve had all I can take of your noisy ego-music. When was the last time you sang to me?
Do you know what I want? I want justice – oceans of it. I want fairness – rivers of it. That’s what I want.” Amos 5:23-24
You’re invited to another great JUSTICE & WORSHIP WORKSHOP: 9.30am to 1pm, Saturday 20th February, Christian Aid, 35 Lower Marsh, London SE1 7RL.
We’re delighted that Andy Flannagan, Liz Baddaley and others with be there to help us explore how we can bring themes of justice into our church worship. Andy says, “Are you sick of singing songs to Jesus as if he’s your girlfriend? Why don’t we worship all the aspects of God’s character? What goes wrong when we forget his justice? Are you becoming just a consumer of the worship industry? Join me as I barbeque some sacred cows!” Each session will be new and we’ll have a panel to discuss people’s questions. There will also be a range of helpful resources for you to take back to your church.
The workshop is open to all involved in leading worship – both musicians and non-musicians. We are limited to 40 attending but can accept up to 5 people per church. Registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis and a £5 charge made on the day. To register, please email your name, phone number, church attended and short description of your role in worship to lse@christian-aid.org

VOLUNTEER FOOTBALL COACHES NEEDED FOR “SWITCH IT! FOOTBALL AND LIFE”
Switch It! Football and Life is a football project for young people aged between 10 and 16. It is about offering young people the opportunity to play and learn football regardless of their ability.
The aim is to build trusted and long lasting relationships with the young people. In doing so, we begin to get to know the young person and are able to offer them help and support in whatever issues they may come up against in their lives.
In order to encourage the young people to think about stuff going on in their lives, we take a break during our sessions to discuss various topics.
At the moment, Switch It! runs on Thursday and Friday evenings. If you are 16+ and interested in becoming a coach at Switch It! for any of those days (from September onwards), please contact Jeremy: 07843-132 831 or jeremyzulu@msn.com for further details.
